New 4-H Year!

 Don't forget to e-mail to let Amanda know if you are joining 4-H and/or continuing.

Our annual business meeting will be October 6 from 5:30 to 7:00, please be on time for us to START at 5:30.  Snack will be provided around 6:00.

We will have officer candidate speeches and elect officers!

We will vote on projects for the year!

We need to set the budget and review the constitution!

We need to decide how we will communicate, through this blog, or using a Google classroom.

We also need to decide on Cloverbucks.

Look for an e-mail the week before the meeting with the agenda and all these things to review before the meeting.  OR start reviewing now!

If you want to run for office, let Amanda know asap!

TSC Paper Clover Event

 A Tractor Supply Paper Clover Event is a time and place for HH 4-H to do some fundraising, 4-H promotion, and public speaking.

We set up a table in the store with our club TT, some 4-H promotional material on the table, and maybe someone's well-behaved pullets, and we talk to customers about 4-H AND High Hopes!

We have the option of setting up October 8, 9, 15, or 16 (or more than one day.  Should probably be 9:00 to 1:00 or 2:00 on Saturdays, and Sundays maybe 10:00 to 1:00.  Youth should probably work not longer than 2 hour shifts, 3 or 4 kids per shift, and we should make sure we've got someone outgoing in each shift. 

One person stays at the table talking to customers, one person hovers near the registers inviting people to buy a paper clover when they check out.  The third person can float as needed when it's busy, and rotate so everyone gets breaks.

Parents are welcome to stay, but should let the kids do the talking!  Even new 4-H'ers can come and help, they can say what they hope to do and learn.
