Recently in HH 4-H!

The High Hopes 4-H Club has been busy!  We adopted 5 families for the holidays again this year, and did an amazing job -- as always!

In Food and Nutrition and Art, we have been learning about indigenous cultures and have studied Australian Aborigine, African, Pueblo Native American, and Huichol South American foods and art.

In Livestock, members attended the Bovine Bonanza, and we have learned about fencing and housing for various types of livestock -- you can fit a lot of 4-H'ers in a sheep house (picture)!  In Horse project, we have observed the normal horse, learned about basic preventative health care, and practiced daily care of the horse.  Several members attended Winter Horse Camp as well.

Next we'll be moving to Small Pets and Woodworking, Livestock and Horse will continue, and we'll start with Poultry.

We're hoping to have an art exhibition with indigenous snacks at the end of the school year.  We'll try to wrap a pet show into our end of the year celebration as well!
